A Taste From the Collection
Am I Strong Enough?
Am I strong enough you ask?
You have pushed yourself down into this dark hole,
As you sit there in loneliness.
You are deep in the thought, of how did I get here?
How did I allow myself to be pushed so far down?
The heaviness that feels like armour, it’s not natural, is this even mine?
I dare say no to this, if I am to honour self and the strength that I have forgotten.
This is no time to let myself be here, This is not the time to keep the blinders on.
It is time for me to look deeply and kick myself into gear.
My strength is my power, it has never let me down before.
Why do I even question this?
I am not sure.
Self-talking?
You must get up my dear.
As the sunlight shines, deep down inside, I know 1 must move on.
Am I strong enough?
Do I even really know how to stand here on my own, Without the feeling of being alone?
Push all this fear aside,
As you look up at the sunlight.
Push yourself out of this hole, With your strength and all your might.
Now that I am here, standing in this light, I remained, knowing that I wasn’t feeling right.
Every day is baby steps, to where I need to be, I will not give up on me.
I am the only one who can make this change.
This change I need, and I agree.
It’s time for me, to move on from what I believed I have answered my own question.
I am strong enough.
